Shipping Policy

We proudly deliver Australia-wide. Whether you're in a major city or a regional area, we’ll make sure your sofa gets to you safely.

Please note we do not offer online purchases, all orders are placed either in-store or by phone. This ensures you get the expert advice and customised modular configuration you deserve.

Returns

Because our sofas are made to order and often configured to suit your space, we do not accept returns for change of mind.

However, we comply fully with the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees your rights in the event of a product fault.

Your Consumer Rights

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if your product fails to meet the standards of acceptable quality. 

​

  • A major fault is one that makes the product unsafe or unusable. In this case, you can choose a refund or replacement.

  • A minor fault is something that can be reasonably repaired. In this case, we are entitled to first offer a repair or solution.

Warranty

All sofas at The Sofa Republic come with a 5-Year Structural Warranty on the internal frame, covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.

Report Any Issues Promptly

If your product arrives damaged or a fault appears, it must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or discovery. Delayed reporting may limit warranty options.

Warranty Conditions

We use natural materials that require care. To keep your sofa in top shape, please follow our Product Care Guidelines. Warranties rely on proper maintenance.

Materials That Need Ongoing Care:

  • Leather: Must be conditioned using recommended leather care products

  • Timber: Requires regular waxing or oiling

  • Marble: Needs correct sealing and protection

What's Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover the following:

​

  • Commercial, rental, or non-residential use

  • Natural changes in soft fillings or fabric/wood/leather grain

  • Fading, warping, or damage from direct sunlight or heat

  • Wear and tear from everyday use, including scratches or dents

  • Use of non-recommended cleaners or care products

  • Damage from spills, perspiration, body oils, or cosmetics

  • Pilling of fabric (this is considered normal wear and tear)

  • Transport damage after delivery (if moved by the customer)

  • Use by individuals over 120kg, beyond design limits

  • Repairs by non-approved service providers
